Hiking3000.com is published by Digitis SRL (Rue Au Palo 26, 4053 Embourg, Belgium, BCE 0764.802.042). It is a personal editorial site run by David Bertrand (Le Belge Alpin), sharing committed mountain hikes: narratives, GPX tracks, photos, safety advice.

Safety warning, read this

Mountain hiking is a risky activity. Some routes featured on Hiking3000 are committed, technical, and potentially dangerous. They may involve exposed passages, off-trail terrain, snowfields or cables, serious elevation, and rapidly changing weather.

You remain solely responsible for your own safety. The information published on this site (GPX tracks, route descriptions, grading, access) is given for information only and never replaces your own assessment of conditions, your preparation, your gear, your experience, or the advice of a qualified mountain guide.

Conditions described in articles reflect the day David did the hike. They may have changed since (bridges swept away, markings gone, retreating glaciers, closed huts). Always check recent sources before leaving.

By signing up on Hiking3000, you acknowledge these risks and accept them without reservation. This acknowledgement is captured via the mandatory checkbox at registration, with timestamp kept as evidence.

Account and field reports

Creating an account is free. You must be of legal age or have parental consent. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, free licence to display and moderate your field reports on the site. You remain the owner of your content and may edit or delete it at any time.

Reports must be truthful, respectful, lawful, and based on a hike you actually completed. We moderate a posteriori and may hide or remove content that breaches these rules.

GPX tracks

GPX tracks are made available to registered users for personal use only. Redistribution, resale, commercial use, or use for training AI/ML models is forbidden.

Intellectual property

All content published by Digitis SRL (texts, photos, videos, GPX tracks, layout, logo, grading system, design) is protected by copyright. Short citations with source attribution, hyperlinks to the site, and non-commercial educational use with prior consent are allowed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Liège (Belgium), proceedings in French.
